Long Run Update

Just a quick update for today.  Being that it is Saturday, it was time for our long slow run.  Today I ran two full loops of Central Park plus a little extra (searching for the bathrooms and going off course for a Gatorade and Gel break).  My trusty Nike+ is telling me that I have run 13.72 miles so I’ll go with that.  At the end of my run, Lance Armstrong interrupted my playlist and informed me that it was a new personal best for distance!

It was a good run today, mentally it was much easier than last week and physically I couldn’t do much more but I am a lot less sore.  I don’t expect to be trying to steal my grandmother’s walker for the next two days like I did last week.

My brother also did a great job! He ran about 8 miles and is making rapid progress towards catching up to the rest of us.

I’d also like to encourage anyone that hasn’t made a donation to help us support the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society to please check out our fundraising pages and consider making a donation.

Thanks!
