1 Mile Test

Last night we timed ourselves running 1 mile. I surpassed my wildest expectations. On Monday of this week I ran a mile just to test myself and gauge how I would do. I ran 1 mile in 7:27 and it was a personal best by far.

On Wednesday, I ran with the advanced runners and though I dropped behind the pack I never let them out of my sight and ran the first mile in 6:14!!! After that I didn't care what happened, I did feel like throwing up but I took that as a good sign that I pushed myself as hard as I could go. The second and third miles were 6:39 and 7:46.

I'm not sure what this means in the scheme of things (I'm waiting for the coaches to tell us) but I am very pleased with my progress.
